SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it truly is alarmed with regard to the higher variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. SRD The assistance level established for intervention experiences a large influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
